growing tourism sector, by acquiring Baganara Island, a wonderful little paradise and
getaway to the unspoiled rainforest of Guyana, situated at the junction of the great
Essequibo and Mazaruni rivers. Established there, Baganara Island Resort is one of Guyana’
s premier interior retreats where private and corporate clientele can escape for physical and
mental rejuvenation, while participating in a variety of outdoor activities including
canoeing, fishing, water skiing, kayaking, volleyball, table tennis or simply sunbathing and
swimming.
The complex, located on 187 acres of lush green foliage and colorful tropical flowers, has
a seventeen-room capacity, with eleven self-contained superior rooms, two self-contained
deluxe rooms and four standard rooms, while housing a modern conference/boardroom
facility (30-seat capacity) and an additional gazebo that can accommodate up to 60 guests
